France Coast - Avranches to the Loire Valley

This photo gives you a better idea of where the town's fortifications sit. That is the mainland in the distance and you can see it is relatively low tide at the moment. The buildings here are part of the village of Mont-Saint-Michel with the Abbey sitting much higher up behind them.
